NCBC Celebrates 66th Founders Day Celebration

The Nigerian Christian Bible College, Ukpom, Abak, Akwa Ibom State celebrated her 66th Founders Day on Saturday, 2nd February 2019. This year’s Founders Day was devotional. The provost of NCBC, Mr. Goodnews Peter welcomed the alumni, elders of the area Churches of Christ, ministers and the good people of Ukpom to the celebration. He reminded the audience to reflect on the mission and vision of the founding fathers. He also highlighted the achievements of the College for the past sixty-six years to include full accreditation of the College by the National University Commission (NUC) to run BA and BA(Ed) Religious Education, increased in student’s population and training of more than 6000 preachers and sending them out to congregations for Christian Ministry. Mfon Brendan, an alumnus of the College and the Minister at Church of Christ, Ikot Abasi, Obori, Calabar was the guest speaker. He spoke on the “Visions of the Founding fathers.” Prayers were offered for the sponsors, the African Christian Schools Foundation (ACSF) for N.C.B.C and Nigeria–2019, elections. Goodwill messages were received from the Board of Governors, Ukpom Development Union, Alumni Association, and the Chairman, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council. The N.C.B.C choral group and Abak Song Leaders Forum presented colorful songs to entertain the audience. The celebration was well attended, congregations from three states of the Federation were represented such as Akwa Ibom State, Abia State and Cross River State.
