WNCC September 2017 Report
EVANGELISM
GBOBOADE, A. S.
As the saying goes, ‘catch them young,’ this prompted the evangelistic outreach of the college to always send students out in groups on weekends to the surrounding villages so as to gather and tutor the young ones. In the course of the previous month, students were able to gather children at Lakiri, Olubode, and Mile Eight villages on campus. The children were taught the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Christian Religious Knowledge. The average number of children gathered on each of the weekends at various villages ranges from 25 to 30.
CAMPUS CHURCH
In recent weeks, some WNCC newly admitted student were baptized into the Lord’s fold. The students are: Ashiwaju Sarah Similoluwa, who was baptized on 14th September 2017; Jolaosho Ajibola and ICA’s Victor Ugbulenta who were baptized on the 8th of October 2017. We pray that the good Lord will uphold them till the end.
Furthermore, as an extension of the evangelism outreach, some of the children gathered at Mile Eight were brought to the campus church for Sunday worship using the college bus. The turnout was encouraging and we hope that with time adults too can join them to come to church.
