The staff and students of N.C.B.C are very active in evangelism. They continue to keep the mandate “Go ye” into all the world and preach the Gospel” and Jesus the master who promised to be with us always is blessing our efforts with great successes.

The college sponsored three management staff to attend the Great Workshop 2018 at Abakaliki Ebonyi State February 6 – 9, 2018. The theme of the workshop was “Repositioning the Church for His Coming” Over 700 ministers and WBS follow-up workers attended. It is remarkable to mention that more than 70% of attendance were N.C.B.C graduates. Every evening, I held meetings with them and encouraged them to visit their alma mater during seminars and lectureships and also find ways they can support the college. They submitted the contact addresses and promised to help accordingly. During the house to house evangelism outing, seven people were baptized including a Pastor from the Living Christian Ministries.

One important development during the workshop was the presentation of the Gospel Chariot which will assist in evangelism. The Chariot contain generator, public address system, tent which can accommodate more than three hundred (300) people, baptistery, sleeping mattresses and lot more. I will apply for the Gospel Chariot to be used during N.C.B.C Lectureship in August, 2018.

In the same spirit, Uyai Joshua has done a lot of preaching and benevolence work at the Church of Christ Ikot Akpabio. A sister by name Kufre Nyong William was very sick, to the point of death, Uyai Joshua and the church took her to the hospital for blood transfusion, medications and food supplements and now, she has recovered. Also, needed items were bought and given to the widows and this humanitarian service is preaching the Gospel in this community which has resulted in some baptisms.

On the 29th January, 2018 Akaninyene Linus Umoh, was baptized.

On 11th February, 2018 two souls were baptized. Etim Okon Dan and John Umoh at Ikot Akpabio where Uyai Joshua is preaching.

On the 16th February 2018, four N.C.B.C. staff Goodnews E. Peter, Samuel Okon, Joe Obinna and Uyai Joshua participated in Prison evangelism at Ikot Ekpene. The theme was freedom in Christ’ Namdie Inyang spoke on the theme and Goodnews E. Peter led in the call for Baptism. Twenty-seven souls, prison inmates, were baptized. Toiletries, food Items and heavy entertainment were provided by the Church of Christ in Ikot Ekpene, L.G.A.
Sunday Nelson, a second year ministerial student visited the Lord’s Church at Obio Offot uyo, distributed tracts, preached from house to house and also preached on Sunday Feb. 11, 2018. He converted one soul to Christ.

The Church of Christ Oku Abak requested for a student to help them on Sundays since they do not have a preacher. Owoedinyene Udoabasi, a final year student was sent to work with them since October, 2017. Recently the church sent appreciation letter to the college expressing how the students has helped them to grow in numbers since five additional souls have been baptized, the church may retain him after his graduation as their preacher.

We will continue to preach the word.
